    This large, multi-stemmed shrub grows 15-20’ high.  Quince is grown mainly for its fruits which are used in preserves and jams.  Fruit is pear-shaped, yellow, fragrant, and sour.  The white to pinkish flowers have five petals.  The leaves are green often turning a rich yellow before falling.  The bark is very dark to almost black.  Native:  Central Asia.
