This large, noble tree of dense, columnar habit and slightly dropping sprays is a hybrid of the Alaska Cedar and Monterey Cypress. It is not a true Cypress, so the name is spelled as one word. Growth is 60-70’. Flattened foliage sprays are composed of gray-green, tiny scale-leaves overlapping each other. Spherical, brown cones are small, under 1” in diameter. The scaly bark is reddish brown. These trees are valued for their rapid growth. Native: Europe.
